Generally speaking people who live and love city life, live precariously close to being predatory fodder. I realized that one of the reasons people that live in cities are so willing for gun control is that they don’t know how much freedom they have already lost for conveniences and entertainment.

Generally speaking city dwellers earn more money than their rural peers, in a system where money rules. The city has more entertainment. In the city there are more tolerances for human eccentricities. We like to be entertained. It is the opiate of the masses. The Aztecs and Romans used human sacrifice during their waning years; we have the internet and reality TV. We have the NFL and the human train wrecks of reality shows, 24 TV, and the growing number of children connected to personal media devices in its place. In the city there are laws for everything from spitting on the sidewalk to noise ordinances. Who needs the police when everyone follows the law?
