Rotten to the Core: Reader feedback from the frontlines

We have at least one generation who does not know our nations founding primary documents, and I believe this is by design.
Locally we are now battling the re-writing of state social studies standards that teach America is evil. The cartel I’m sure has their hand in this.

Please! Please! Please!
Do not let this issue go away!! For the sake of our nation!
Most people aren’t even aware of CCS or RTTT and the background.

A MESSAGE TO ALL PARENTS

EYE ON US EDUCATION
A MESSAGE TO ALL PARENTS
DO YOU KNOW…
THAT CHILDREN ARE DISCOURAGED FROM VOICING OPPOSING VIEWS IN
THE CLASSROOM? THAT THEY ARE TOLD THAT THEY MUST ACCEPT –
WITHOUT QUESTION – WHAT THEIR TEACHERS SAY?
THAT CHILDREN ARE BEING TAUGHT FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT OUR
HISTORY AND OUR GOVERNMENT? THAT ONLY ONE SIDE TO AN ISSUE
IS PRESENTED?
THAT CHILDREN ARE ENCOURAGED TO ACCEPT THE LIES PERPETUATED
BY EXTREME MUSLIMS? THAT THESE FALSEHOODS ARE IN THEIR
TEXTBOOKS?
PARENTS HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO GO
AGAINST STATE-MANDATED SUBJECTS, SUCH AS SEXUALLY-ORIENTED TOPICS
(ABORTION, BIRTH CONTROL, HOMOSEXUALITY, ETC.)
NOT TRUE!
Although schools may be mandated to PROVIDE certain courses,
children are not required to ATTEND these classes. If a subject
goes against a parent’s personal, philosophical,
or religious beliefs, a parent can insist that their child
“opt out” of that class, without being penalized for not
participating.
PARENTS SHOULD INSIST THAT THEY HAVE THE FINAL WORD ON WHAT
THEIR CHILD LEARNS! JOIN TOGETHER! THERE IS POWER IN NUMBERS!
Eye On US Education (EUSE) is a national organization focused on
ensuring that our children get true and accurate information –
the VERY BEST education. Our mission is : “Preserving American
Values Through Education” and securing “Truth in Education”.

Are Guns the Problem?

Many customs, traditions and moral values have been discarded without an appreciation for the role they played in creating a civilized society, and now we’re paying the price. What’s worse is that instead of a return to what worked, people want to replace what worked with what sounds good, such as zero-tolerance policies in which bringing a water pistol, drawing a picture of a pistol, or pointing a finger and shouting “bang-bang” produces a school suspension or arrest. Seeing as we’ve decided that we should rely on gun laws to control behavior, what should be done to regulate clubs and hammers? After all, FBI crime statistics show that more people are murdered by clubs and hammers than rifles and shotguns. Walter Williams

America doesn’t have a gun violence problem. Democrats do. They facilitate gun violence.

• The seminal event in criminology was the 1972 study by Marvin Wolfgang of the University of Pennsylvania that indicated just 7 percent in the cohort he studied committed more than two-thirds of violent crimes.

For each offense for which they were caught, these chronic offenders committed eight to 11 other crimes. They were rarely punished. Had these “Dirty 7 Percenters” been sent to prison for just a year after their third offense, there’d have been 7,200 fewer serious crimes in Philadelphia, Mr. Wolfgang calculated. Subsequent research here and in Europe has confirmed his findings.

The rate of violent crime has fallen by nearly half since publication of Mr. Wolfgang’s study, chiefly because more chronic offenders are being sent to prison for longer periods. It would have fallen further, but liberals fought against longer sentences. Jack Kelly

Garbage and lies

Arm the good people so they can shoot the bad people, the gun lobby says. That will stop gun violence in America.

But here is an observation that has been making the rounds on Twitter recently.

“Columbine had an armed guard.”

“Virginia Tech had a police department.”

“Fort Hood was a military base.”

Draw your own conclusions.
Roger Simon

Did anyone teach the armed guard to shoot?

When seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Military bases aren’t armed camps. They have some of the strictest gun laws around.

Draw your own conclusions.

Hopeless

The only thing more useless than an unloaded gun is a buried one.

THE ROOT OF THE EVIL

by Jeff Cooper
My dictionary describes an obsession as “a haunting by a fixed idea.” A haunting is a nagging, continuous fear of the unreal. A fixed idea is one that cannot be altered, by truth or reason or anything else.

Phobia is listed as “fear, horror, or aversion — of a morbid character. “Morbid” is “unwholesome, sickly. ”

Those of us who shoot cannot help being perplexed when we encounter people who are apparently haunted by a fixed and morbid aversion to our guns. When first we meet such persons we generally respond with explanations, as is only reasonable. But with time we discover that often we are not dealing with rational minds. This is not to say that everyone who is opposed to shooting is mentally aberrant, but it is to say that those who latch on to an unreasonable notion and thereafter refuse to listen to any further discussion of it have problems that are more amenable to psychiatry than to argument.

Dishonest Educators

Sandra Stotsky, an education professor at the University of Arkansas, said, “(Praxis I) is an easy test for anyone who has completed high school but has nothing to do with college-level ability or scores.” She added, “The test is far too undemanding for a prospective teacher. … The fact that these people hired somebody to take an easy test of their skills suggests that these prospective teachers were probably so academically weak it is questionable whether they would have been suitable teachers.”

Here’s a practice Praxis I math question: Which of the following is equal to a quarter-million — 40,000, 250,000, 2,500,000, 1/4,000,000 or 4/1,000,000? The test taker is asked to click on the correct answer. A practice writing skills question is to identify the error in the following sentence: “The club members agreed that each would contribute ten days of voluntary work annually each year at the local hospital.” The test taker is supposed to point out that “annually each year” is redundant. The Role of ‘Educators’

Some think that we must tiptoe around in our own country, lest some foreigners living here or visiting here be offended by the sight of an American flag or a Christmas tree in some institutions.

In France between the two World Wars, the teachers’ union decided that schools should replace patriotism with internationalism and pacifism. Books that told the story of the heroic defense of French soldiers against the German invaders at Verdun in 1916, despite suffering massive casualties, were replaced by books that spoke impartially about the suffering of all soldiers — both French and German — at Verdun.

Germany invaded France again in 1940, and this time the world was shocked when the French surrendered after just 6 weeks of fighting — especially since military experts expected France to win. But two decades of undermining French patriotism and morale had done their work.

American schools today are similarly undermining American society as one unworthy of defending, either domestically or internationally. If there were nuclear attacks on American cities, how long would it take for us to surrender, even if we had nuclear superiority — but were not as willing to die as our enemies were?
Thomas Sowell

No guts then, no God now, no guns tomorrow.

Oath Keepers America’s dying ass. What part of infringed don’t you understand? The Second Amendment has already been violated. Several times. You don’t need arms now because you didn’t use them then. Now gun laws are status quo. No guts then, no God now, no guns tomorrow.

We’ve already reached the point where, to paraphrase Winnie, There is no hope of winning and your only recourse is to make them pry it from your cold, dead fingers, because death is better than slavery.
