Although a poor politician, George H.W. Bush was a decent man of honor and integrity, a man who served his country in many capacities prior to entering politics. And when he did enter politics he had the best interests of the country at heart. Not so Barack Obama.

Bush lost because his campaign lacked focus and he failed to make a compelling case for his reelection. If Obama loses it will be because enough Americans finally woke up to who he really is and rejected his vision of a country mired in the dull, gray sameness and mediocrity of socialism. Make no mistake. Capitalism is as evil as communism. In the words of our founders, “Neither borrower nor lender be.” This Republic was meant for moral individuals willing to lift themselves by their own bootstraps with help from their neighbors.
No matter who wins in November, the vulture capitalist or racist communist, evil has won.

So perhaps Ryan should have said something like this: “Tax cuts don’t cost money — they save money. Government spending is what costs money. If you think cutting taxes costs money, then you must think raising taxes saves money. By that logic, a 100 percent tax rate would mean Washington isn’t spending anything at all. And that, my friend, is absurd.”

Apparently it took more than 100 deaths for a military brass neck-deep in the PC swamp to figure out that the presence of armed Afghan trainees in the presence of unarmed American trainers gave our so-called “trusted Afghan partners” a decided tactical advantage. One they deployed with Islamist gusto on several occasions. In 2012 alone, 32 attacks resulting in 40 deaths have occurred–topping the 21 attacks that took place last year.

If this supposed “public” broadcasting brand is capable on standing on its own, then so should it. As for the rest of PBS’s output – the eternal replays of the Peter, Paul & Mary reunion concert, twee Brit sitcoms, Lawrence Welk reruns and therapeutic infomercials – whatever their charms, it is difficult to see why the Brokest Nation in History should be borrowing money from the Chinese Politburo to pay for it. A system by which a Communist Party official in Beijing enriches British comedy producers by charging it to American taxpayers with interest is not the most obvious economic model. Yet, as Obama would say, the government did build that.
