Vote American or quit complaining

America is in a nosedive. Electing Obama or Obama lite won’t change that. Have any of you been reading Ammoland.com or other conservative websites? Or just Republican partisan sites. It’s not the economy stupid. It’s the American way that’s the end of our prosperous way of life if you don’t defend it. As the next five states go, so goes the nation.

Murder in Black and White

Have you heard about this horrendous assault, rape and murder case? If not, no wonder — a search of this story returns no national coverage from any print or TV media source.

Last month, a young black male invaded the Tulsa OK home of Bob and Nancy Strait (90 and 85 years old respectively). The Straits marriage of 65 years came to an end after Tyrone Woodfork (as charged) beat the elderly couple and then raped Mrs. Strait. She died of her injuries while Mr. Strait, a WWII Veteran with the 101st Airborne, was left for dead but later found by a family member. Mr. Stait is slowly recovering from his near-fatal injuries.

Digest for Friday

“If we’re going to keep giving somebody like me or some of the people in this room tax breaks that we don’t need and we can’t afford, then one of two things happens: Either you’ve got to borrow more money to pay down a deeper deficit, or … you’ve got to tell seniors to pay a little bit more for their Medicare. You’ve got to tell the college student, ‘We’re going to have to charge you higher interest rates on your student loan.’ … That’s not right.”

There’s so much that’s not right about that statement, but, in honor of Income Redistribution Day, here are a few things government “invests” in that are so crucial that Obama “can’t afford” to let you keep your money. We already have to work until April 17 just to pay for the cost of government, which just happens to be the same day returns are due, but Obama needs more of our money for these special things.

Feel This

You know what I don’t like? Race-hustling agitators trying to drum up violence mindless. Pompous female windbags denigrating millions of American housewives. A Treasury Secretary who prefers running the nation into the ground in order to avoid telling Americans the truth about our fiscal dilemma. And most of all, a president more than willing to turn one American against another, no matter how ugly it gets, in order to win re-election.

You feel me, my fellow Americans?

Teaching Dependency

What makes progressives desperate? The realization that if they taught America’s children how to think instead of what to think, their ideology would be consigned to the ash heap of history. Arnold Ahlert

Don’t do business with progressive appeasers

McDonald’s, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Intuit, Kraft, Arby’s and Walgreens have shown their true colors: appeasement yellow. It’s time for conservatives to stand their ground and stop showing these corporate cowards their money. Michelle Malkin

Real war on women

“There’s a real war on women…. And it’s been going on for decades. Our friend Steven Mosher first discovered this war on women in China three decades ago. Steven was a Stanford University Ph.D. student doing graduate research in rural China. … What he discovered was that Chinese women got no choice. If they had a second child — an ‘illegal’ child — these women could be rounded up, thrown in the back of a two-ton truck, and carted off to the local infirmary. There, they could even be held down and forcibly aborted. … With such brutal policies in effect limiting Chinese couples to only one child, the rural Chinese felt further pressure to make sure that child was a boy. That’s because sons are the only social ‘safety net’ for hundreds of millions of Chinese. … President Obama would have us believe that there is some kind of war on women, just in time for his re-election effort. But he is the one who made sure that China’s monstrous population effort would be fully supported by the UN Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA). Two days after assuming power, President Obama revoked the Reagan-era Mexico City policy of the previous administration. He forces us to fund international Planned Barrenhood. That means that the world-wide war on baby girls will go forward, with U.S. taxpayers footing part of the bill.” –columnists Ken Blackwell & Bob Morrison

Dupes for the State

Public misunderstanding, ignorance and possibly contempt for liberty play into the hands of people who want to control our lives. Responses to my recent column “Compliant Americans” brought this home to me. In it, I argued that the anti-tobacco movement became the template and inspiration for other forms of government intrusion, such as bans on restaurants serving foie gras, McDonald’s giving Happy Meals with toys, and confiscating a child’s home-prepared lunch because it didn’t meet Department of Agriculture guidelines. Do They Really Like Ike?

Eisenhower not only led the Normandy D Day invasion which liberated Europe, he also liberated the victims of the Nazi Holocaust. During his presidency he successfully desegregated the Armed Forces of the United States and the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. He passed two landmark civil rights bills — a fact that is often overlooked, and sent federal troops to Little Rock, Arkansas to force the integration of public schools.

He presided over an economic boom that balanced fiscal austerity — he was the last president to cut the budget in real dollars. He began our exploration of space with the creation of NASA and invested tens of billions to create the interstate highway system — the largest public works project in history — which has been re-paid with incalculable dividends in economic growth over the years. As Goes Wisconsin, so Goes America; Support Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch

I look at the far Left’s assault on Wisconsin and I say, “Are you kidding?” As an outsider (albeit an admitted Green Bay fan with family roots in Chippewa Falls), I join millions of Americans watching the political shenanigans in Wisconsin. I am torn between just chuckling at these radical liberal yahoos trying to oust an intelligent administration that is fulfilling its promises, or raising a fist in disgust at people sitting on their thumbs while Governor Walker and Lt. Governor Kleefisch get thrown to the wolves.

Governor Walker has left the far Left unhinged, so he’s had to amass a war chest to fend off the lies and dirty dealings in the capitol; and, thankfully, it’s predicted he’ll survive his recall.

But the recall fight that is just as important is Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch’s. Please click this link to help her.

She’s being thrown beyond the wolf pack – she’s also under the GOP establishment’s bus because this Tea Party “Mama Grizzly” beat the establishment candidate when she got elected. (And dang, it’s uncomfortable under that chassis!) Rebecca must be thinking, “With friends like these, who needs enemies?” Worse than seeing radical Leftists attack and make things up about a Conservative female opponent is when supporters on the Right sit on their thumbs and act as if there’s nothing they can do to help. Come on! When all else fails you can at least tell the truth! Tell other voters why you supported Rebecca in the first place. Explain her campaign promises and how she has stuck to them and – surprising in today’s political world – is actually fulfilling them. She promised to help balance the budget, cut taxes, build a sound fiscal environment, and provide job opportunities for all Wisconsin residents – not only our union brothers and sisters. She’s setting an example for every other state in the union because responsible state and local governments will be the entities that defend our Republic at a time when there is less and less reason to believe our big centralized federal government will address its self-perpetuated economic problems.
