Ted takes flack

I’ve said before that some people make a living as loud mouthed sensation mongers. Rush comes to mind, and now Ted.

But there’s a big difference between them and the foul mouthed civility police. For one thing, Sarah Palin doesn’t go around killing babies, blowing innocent people up, or stealing their health insurance.

The other thing, besides being ignorant liars, is that the anti Americans pretend they’re not doing what any half wit can see they’re doing. What does that say about over half of the American population?

I know. I’ve just added my name to the list of nasty bigots. But I know that when you molest others you’re bad. When you mind your own business and help your neighbor you’re good.

I’m really weird that way.

EUSE suggests

Most states are adopting the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) even though “We The People” have been actively fighting its implementation. Part of the problem is that many State School Boards are made up of Progressive/Liberals who believe in this takeover by the Federal government,

The real power lies with the local Districts and people. In Florida, up until a few years ago, the State Instructional Materials Committee (SIMC) – made up of teachers, parents, and “laypeople” – approved all textbooks. But, the SIMC was abolished. Three “experts”, chosen by the Florida Department of Education, now approve all textbooks. The CCSS textbooks were approved without any perusal.

Recently, I sent to the Florida Congress proposed textbook legislation. It has been submitted to the Florida Senate and, when enacted, will bring approval of all textbooks back to the Districts.

http://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2014/0864/BillText/__/PDF

In this way, the Districts can disapprove the CCSS textbooks – requiring other textbooks to be used. Those of you who have seen the CCSS Math and English textbooks know how important it is to get rid of them.

EUSE suggests that:

1) you make sure that the final approval of all textbooks lies with the local Districts.
2) If not, act to get legislation enacted.
3) If the approval of textbooks is already with the Districts, focus on encouraging them to disapprove all CCSS textbooks.

HUH?!?!?!

Tom Sowell must be senile. He says the country may be near the point of no return. He’s foaming at the mouth because Cruz might prevent the election of those who will push us over the edge?

I’m too boggled to write more.

This stuff matters

A number of years ago I interviewed Congressman Paul Ryan and reminded him of a quote of his, “If you want to be good at this kind of job, you have to be willing to lose it.”

“You can’t come up here worrying about your political career, you’ve got to come up here worrying about your country and where it’s going…,” said Ryan.

He’s right. We need elected officials today who care about nothing but telling the truth and leading. Ted Cruz is clearly one of these leaders.

A failure to Communicate

Oooohh! The Republicans don’t communicate well enough!

I’m tired of hearing that from you let’s pretend conservatives. Yeah, you who proudly wear the name Right Wing. Face it. Right Wingers are Nazis by definition.

There are Commies on the left, Nazis on the right, and Capitalists in the middle. Real conservatives are traditional Americans. They’re self reliant entrepreneurs Who believe the Constitution means just what it says, not changing with the times to mean what the majority wants it to mean. What part of constitution don’t you understand? Real conservatives believe in preserving this land and its freedoms and constitutional government.

I hear a lot of let’s pretend conservatives howling at the left for protecting the environment instead of bailing out a bunch of losers. These are the same let’s pretend conservatives who are howling because the left is bailing out these same losers with illegal labor. At least get on the same page with yourself! Who’s going to listen to you if you are continually talking in circles and mumbling crazies to yourself?

The Left has an agenda. You make stuff up as you get wild hares. You need to start by communicating with yourselves.

Sign of the Times

It’s a sign of the times when legalizing getting fucked up and criminal aliens is the priority of this country when we have massive unemployment, debt, terrorism, etc.

Do you really think anyone really cares about things like liberty or good government?

So Long Hero

Born in rural northeastern Pennsylvania, Johnson graduated from a private boarding school for orphaned children before joining the Air Force, flying dozens of combat missions in World War II – including one that turned him into a real-life castaway in the Philippines in 1945. Johnson’s B-25 bomber was shot down by heavy flak; he broke both his ankles during the mission, and received the Purple Heart.

The Heroes of ‘Lone Survivor’

Soldiers accept dangerous missions without questioning the wisdom of their commanders. The public can question their commanders, but no one should question the resolve of these warrriors. That sacrifice they make for us – especially the ultimate sacrifice – deserves more national gratitude, and I’m sure that families like the Murphys are going to have their hearts warmed to see this story finally spread from sea to shining sea, embraced by a grateful nation.L. Beware the left-wing-funded “Main Street” Republicans

What do George Soros, labor unions and money-grubbing former GOP Rep. Steven LaTourette all have in common? They’re control freaks. They’re power hounds. They’re united against tea party conservatives. And they all have operated under the umbrella of D.C. groups masquerading as “Main Street” Republicans.Michelle Malkin

Karl Rove and the GOP Socialists

Let’s be clear.

This isn’t some petty squabble over the personality of candidate A versus candidate B. This is decidedly not about the ineptness of, say, Missouri’s Todd Akin (whom we urged to withdraw after his rape nonsense). Notice that none of the losing moderate candidates from 2012, whether Mitt Romney at the top or in various Senate or House races, are being cited by the Establishment as problems.

This is about whether the Republican Party will abandon its Reagan/conservative base — the base that elected Reagan in two landslides, Reagan’s vice president (running as Reagan’s heir) in a 1988 landslide, the Gingrich Revolution in 1994 and made John Boehner Speaker of the House in 2010 — to become Republican socialists, a paler version of the Obama/statist party. Obama Lite. Unwilling not only to challenge the President’s left-wing agenda but insisting on acceptance of that agenda — just a cheaper, better managed version of it.

This is exactly how the nation got into its $17 trillion debt in the first place — not to mention repeated GOP defeats at the polls — with too many Republicans using their time in office not to keep pledges of limited government but rather to grow the government. And the debt and deficit that went along with it.

Why is this?

The answer is as simple as it is blunt. Follow the money.Jeffrey Lord
