Mid Terms

Election day is just around the corner. At least we like to think so. It means spring. We’re already tired of the weather.

Just to remind you that the lesser of two evils is evil. If you’ve been voting for the most conservative candidate who can win in November, you have the government you deserve.

Once again, the only reason a good guy can’t win is because you won’t vote for him. If you don’t vote for evil, they won’t get elected. If they don’t get elected, they won’t be able to afford to run. Then, and only then, will the best men step forward. If you get off your duff and support them they can get elected. DON’T SUPPORT POLITICAL PARTIES. Support qualified individuals.

The reason good guys have trouble is because the establishment uses your money to defeat them. They use your money and your vote to destroy this country!!

The establishment turned Col. West’s bayonets into rubber knives. The Floridians knew what to do about that and now he’s gone. That’s the way it should be.

Whether they’re Rinos or Democrats, socialists are socialists. I don’t have grandchildren so I should just say screw it. But I don’t. If you want peace in your time and say screw your children and grandchildren, I say screw you.

Timely thoughts

As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” ~H.L. Mencken

“The nation needs a citizenry of Minute Men patterned after those of the American Revolution, to fight and sacrifice to keep this country free. Today we need a nation of Minute Men; citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as a basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom. The cause of liberty, the cause of America, cannot succeed with any lesser effort”. President John F. Kennedy

Things I meant to say.

I just got a letter from a Pa. representative stating that we need to hide the gasoline taxes so we won’t know how bad we’re getting screwed. I’ve been meaning to write about a bunch of stuff, but I figured a country that would run Obomney or Chrisama and get Obummer elected twice wouldn’t care anyway. Yeah, if he was running again they’d run Christie and wonder why it happened again. That letter got me moving though.

It’s not that I forget what I mean to say, it’s that I forget what I already said and nobody listened to. But I do remember the other day we were talking about GMOs. Being a farmer, I’m probably more interested in them than you, but being an OLD farmer I probably remember eating better than you do now. I can remember when corn tasted like corn. And now we have GMOs.

Farmers should be able to grow them, but you shouldn’t be forced to eat them. They have all kinds of useless rules on labeling, including a whole list of rules for organic. Organic? Get real. And they don’t think GMOs are a big deal? Are you going to be able to sue Monsanto if it turns out be the asbestos of the food supply? You weren’t forced to smoke or work with asbestos but they want to force you to eat GMOs by hiding them in your food. Sue their Golden Calf? I think not. And why would you care if you were dead or your life was ruined.

When American’s Still Cared

Our current resident in the White House was not the first to want to transform
the fundamentals of America.  It happened before at a time when traditions still
mattered.  George Washington set aside Thursday the 26th of November 1789
a day of “public thanksgiving and prayer” devoted to “the service of that great
and glorious Being who is the beneficent Author of all the good that was, that
is, or that will be.” Reflecting American religious practice and tradition.
While Washington did not set a specific day for the celebration each year it was
an important step in establishing a tradition a tradition in the United States.
In 1863 Lincoln proclaimed the 4rth Thursday of November as the official
National day for Thanksgiving.

Sarah Josepha Hale, a 74-year-old magazine editor, wrote a
letter to Lincoln on September 28, 1863, urging him to have the “day of our
annual Thanksgiving made a National and fixed Festival.” She explained, “You may
have observed that, for some years past, there has been an increasing interest
felt in our land to have the Thanksgiving held on the same day, in all the
States; it now needs National recognition and authoritive fixation, only, to
become permanently, an American custom and institution.”

Hell Won’t Freeze Over

The Tea Party swept Obamacare under the rug by making a big noise about it? Anyway it should now be called Rinocare. The Rinos have now claimed it. All the Republicans have to do to avoid fallout from government shutdowns is to stick to their guns and make government smaller. That will mean less losers on the payroll. The fallout is because they folded.

I don’t think there are any other Americans left. Mark Alexander thinks it’s no big deal if the White House is occupied by someone who is not a natural born citizen. And he thinks if you continually retreat you cannot lose. Let me put this in perspective. Hell will be just as hot no matter when you get there. And forever is still an eternity. There is an alternative.

There is also an alternative to the socialism and crony capitalism etc. going on in Washington (and in the state and local governments). You don’t have to put it off and wish it on your children and grandchildren. Voting for the most conservative candidate who is electable is a proven failure. And don’t tell me Reagan wasn’t perfect. He also wasn’t an un-American schmuck. So he was for amnesty and it was a failure. Would he be for it again today?

But my biggest disappointment is Thomas Sowell. He thinks we should pay college professors a million bucks to serve? in congress. Who does he think is a major cause of the mess we’re in? Also, it doesn’t take much knowledge to be in the legislature. A modicum of intelligence and a lot of integrity will do just fine. It’s true that some administrative jobs might require a little experience.

Election Day

Once the election is over the focus on next year’s statewide elections will begin and it would appear that the establishment forces of the GOP campaign arm is making every effort to block TEA Party supported candidates. In a recent article at Breitbart we are told that The National Republican Senate Committee, the GOP campaign arm responsible for Senate elections, has decided to use its political power to block consulting firm Jamestown Associates from receiving political work from GOP candidates or incumbents.

Jamestown Associates has done work with the Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF), a conservative group largely responsible for the elections of Sens. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Mike Lee (R-UT), Jeff Flake (R-AZ), Marco Rubio (R-FL), Rand Paul (R-KY), Deb Fischer (R-NE), Pat Toomey (R-PA), and Ron Johnson (R-WI), among others. Former Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC), who left the U.S. Senate last year to become the president of the Heritage Foundation, founded SCF.

It would seem that the GOP would have us support candidates who make campaign promises they have demonstrated they will not deliver on or to accept the promises of candidates who do deliver but have a very different agenda for America’s future.

Ironically while most Americans agree with the issues the TEA Party stands for the TEA Party itself is looked down upon thanks to a press that operates like a 4th column in advancing the socialist agenda that is being forced on us all.

It would seem the GOP thinks it can win elections by alienating its most ardent and vocal base of conservatives and rather than accept the premise that the GOP is hurting because of the actions of the establishment who has completely lost touch with the heartbeat of the nation, they blame the TEA Party.

We need politicians to stop make excuses and to start making a difference. That will only happen if you are involved. To be involved you must be informed. You must know what is going on to separate the wheat from the chaff because the future of this state and this nation begins with you not with them. We the people are that 4th part of the checks and balanaces in the powers that control the direction we are going in both as a State and as a Nation.

In the long history of the Socialist agenda of a promised Utopian society it has never once come into fruition because government is a force of power and the more power it grants to itself as a result of a people unwilling to hold that government accountable, the greater the tyranny of that force of power. We then see a government where the people are held accountable to their government rather than the other way around. In my opinion that is exactly what we are seeing in the actions of The National Republican Senate Committee in the efforts to silence the voice of the TEA Party.

It is also the actions of the Democratic Party in General. The choices are becoming simple….which boot do you want on your throat, the right foot or the left foot. Until will stand up and say neither and start fighting the good fight we have no one to blame but ourself. That begins by elections and then each election and each candidate must be held accountable to the promises they made on the campaign trail. They either deliver or they don’t and when they don’t we have a responsibility to stand up to them and bid them adieu.

That becomes an undaunting task because in the process you take on a very powerful force that has a great deal of control over the media and they will do everything in their power to ridicule you or paint you as an extremist who is a threat to society in general. When that is allowed to take place truth is sacrificed and principle pays the price.

Our individual freedoms and liberties are at stake. We have a Nation and a State that was formed and consecrated to the protections of those freedoms and liberties through our State and Federal Constitutions. That consecration was framed around a very simple concept – the protections of our rights to life, liberty and the acquiring, securing and protection of our individual property.

When you vote, that is what your vote should stand for. Not for party but for principle. It doesn’t matter what the race is, from school board to the President of the United States. When you choose to not defend the security of your own property you have no one to blame but yourself.

“S” Is for Socialism — not Shutdown

“The difference between Democrats and Republicans is: Democrats have accepted some ideas of socialism cheerfully, while Republicans have accepted them reluctantly.”Norman Thomas

Just not by name — never by name. As Upton Sinclair, the muckraking author and one-time Socialist candidate for Congress once wrote to Thomas, “The American people will take Socialism, but they won’t take the label.”

A century of unimpeded progress of the so-called progressives — Marxists, statists, socialists, collectivists, leftists, communists, Alinskyites — tells us this is true.

That tells me it’s high time to affix the label, the S-word, to educate voters that this socialist trend — this increasing government control and intervention and supervision and knowledge of every aspect of our lives — diminishes our liberties and strips away freedom. In other words, the Obamacare debate, including the government shutdown, is about much, much more than government inefficiency or rising costs and unemployment. It’s about our destiny as a free nation and our Constitutional right to live our lives as free individuals.

If we are to reclaim that destiny and those rights, it will only be because these 16 days in October were the beginning of something, and not the end.
