What Liberal Don’t Know About Guns, Chapter 217

By Ann Coulter
When there are no armed citizens to stop mass murderers, the killers are able to shoot unabated, even pausing to reload their weapons, until they get bored and stop. Some stop only when their trigger fingers develop carpal tunnel syndrome.

Consider just the school shootings — popular sites for mass murder because so many schools are “gun-free zones.” Or, as mass murderers call them, “free-fire zones.”

Put Left-wing Speech Control in the Cross Hairs

By Dennis Prager
If you love liberty, you must target the left and put its totalitarian tendencies in your cross hairs. We must shoot down political correctness and wage a crusade for truth and liberty. All those ladies and gentlemen who cherish personal and societal freedom must fight like great Indian chiefs, braving secondhand smoke if need be, in affirming a masculinity that has been under relentless attack. And yes, we must even endure the taunts of our foes and, at the appropriate time of the year, wish fellow Americans a “Merry Christmas.”

Then, and only then, will we be able to vanquish lies, defeat the foes of liberty, and once again be able to proudly sing a national anthem that affirms that “the bombs bursting in air gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.”

If we don’t, that line in “The Star-Spangled Banner” will go the way of “Merry Christmas.”

Spilled Milk

By Thomas Sowell
Does anyone seriously believe that any farmer is going to spill enough milk to compare with the Exxon Valdez oil spill or the BP oil spill?

Do you envision people fleeing their homes, as a flood of milk comes pouring down the mountainside, threatening to wipe out the village below?

It doesn’t matter. Once the words are in the law, it makes no difference what the realities are. The bureaucracy has every incentive to stretch the meaning of those words, in order to expand its empire.

Obama Ready Take On the Grass Roots Gun Lobby

Manasquan, NJ –(Ammoland.com)- Have recent comments by Dick Cheney regarding restrictions on High Capacity Firearms Magazines, combined with the Arizona shooting of 20 people by a mentally deranged individual spurred on President Obama to finally take on the politically dangerous topic of gun control?

The liberal left gun control organizations and anti-gun political fat cats, like New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, have publicly scolded the president for not moving faster to implement their anti freedom agendas. Up until now the president has shown great restraint from publicly identifying specific actions in the name of limiting the Second Amendment.

But is he now feeling bold enough to take on the majority of freedom loving Americans with the launch of a more gun control?

Announcements by Chris Mathews, Newsweek, and others seem to indicate that the President is planning to hold a press conference regarding just that topic – “increased gun control initiatives”.

Waivers for Favors

By Michelle Malkin
President Obama’s story-tellers recently launched a White House blog series called “Voices of Health Reform,” where “readers can meet average Americans already benefiting from the health reform law.” I propose a new White House series: “Voices of Health Reform Waivers,” where taxpayers can meet all the politically-connected unions benefiting from exclusive get-out-of-Obamacare passes — after squandering millions of their workers’ dues to lobby for the job-killing, private insurance-sabotaging law from which they are now exempt.

Response to State of the Union

Michele Bachmann
After the $700 billion bailout, the trillion-dollar stimulus, and the $410 billion spending bill with over 9,000 earmarks, many of you implored Washington to please stop spending money we don’t have. But, instead of cutting, we saw an unprecedented explosion of government spending and debt, unlike anything we have seen in the history of our country.

Republican Gun Control

-(Ammoland.com)-
In spite of the hand wringing from the freedom haters in the gun ban movement, it would be a mistake to assume that more gun control on a national level is a dead issue.

Numerous sources are reporting that Obama will “address the issue” of tightening gun control laws, almost certainly by ratcheting up already failed laws like the Brady Bill and the NRA endorsed “NICS Improvement Act. “

The real snow job

By Michelle Malkin
The nation’s capital is freaking out over a winter snowstorm.

But everyone else should be up in arms over the real snow job in Washington this week.

While the Democrats continued to extol Obamacare and the president defended the behemoth law during the Date of the Union, HHS was quietly presiding over a massive Obamacare Waiver-mania explosion.

When last we examined the growing list, privileged escapees topped 222.

Now: The list now at 729 — plus 4 states (Massachusetts, New Jersey, Ohio, and Tennessee).

Friends of the Rich

“Of the wealthiest zip codes in the U.S., 19 out of 20 vote Democratic. How much longer can the Dems continue the lie of representing the interests of the common man? What they represent is the interest of those who can take advantage of government in the most selfish manner.” –columnist Bruce Bialosky

Hope, Change and ‘Invest’

By Ann Coulter
Obama said, “We are the nation that put cars in driveways and computers in offices; the nation of Edison and the Wright brothers; of Google and Facebook.”

And then the government outlawed Edison’s great invention, made the Wright brothers’ air travel insufferable, filed anti-trust charges against Microsoft and made cars too expensive to drive by prohibiting oil exploration, and right now — at this very minute — is desperately trying to regulate the Internet.
