Of Course Sarah Palin’s ‘Unfit’; She’s a Republican

By Larry Elder
How much of the “Sarah Palin is not ready for prime time” criticism is sincere? When the harping comes from the left, it’s difficult to take it seriously. Try to follow the bouncing standards.

Attack the Deficit: The Fierce Urgency of Now

By Ken Blackwell
This is an idea whose time has come. In 1994, Republicans campaigned — and won — on a balanced budget amendment (as part of the Contract with America). Back then, the deficit was just $203 billion. Today, the national deficit is at $1.4 trillion (that’s roughly $3,500 for each American, and some $14,000 for each family of four in deficit spending just this year alone).

Barack Obama’s Secret History

By Ben Shapiro
We’ve all heard President Barack Obama’s American journey. Twice. In “Dreams From My Father” and “The Audacity of Hope,” Obama told his glossy, airbrushed story: son of a black father and single mother with international background but American values, a man who overcame his personal struggle with race to become a great uniter.

HEARTLAND INSTITUTE DETAILS THE OBAMACARE DISASTER

Government Rationing of Health CareIn apparent anticipation of the exploding health costs that will result fromthe government’s takeover of health care, the Patient Protection andAffordable Care Act provides for a comprehensive system of governmentrationing of health care. That rationing starts with huge Medicare cuts thatbegin to starve the system of the resources needed to maintain current levelsof care. It extends to compensation policies that reward the insurers andphysicians who avoid caring for the unhealthy and elderly. And it ends withthe kind of comprehensive rationing that has caused the quality of care inCanada and Europe to decline relative to the United States.

The ‘Gridlock’ Bogeyman

By Thomas Sowell
Whenever the party that controls the White House does not also control Capitol Hill, political pundits worry that there will be “gridlock” in Washington, so that the government cannot solve the nation’s problems.

It is not a matter of faith that a market economy can recover on its own. It is a matter of faith that politicians speed recovery. But there is no way that Barack Obama is going to stop intervening in the economy unless he gets stopped. Only gridlock can do that.

Political Judges

By Thomas Sowell
The time is long overdue to stop treating judges like sacred cows, especially when they have so much bull.

Smash the union thug-ocracy

By Dick Morris And Eileen McGann
The fiscal crises facing state and local governments and school boards makes these unions and their political clout vulnerable, potentially at the mercy of a Republican controlled House of Representatives. We may, at long last, have a way to liberate our nation from the domination of those who should be our public servants but instead are frequently our union masters.

No illegal alien pilot left behind

By Michelle Malkin
My column today spotlights the hands-off policy of the Obama homeland security Keystone Kops when it comes to illegal alien pilot trainees. Meanwhile, it’s hands-on groping for everyone else as the nation revolts against invasive security measures at the airport. The jihadists are laughing their asses off.

It’s over. Are we?

Well the election is over and I did not vote for the lesser of two evils. Apparently everybody else did. Some people weren’t sure which was which though. Evil has a way of looking like evil no matter how evil it is.

I did not vote for the new Republican senator in my state. I would not vote for him if he was the best senator ever and he was running against Satan. To paraphrase Thomas Sowell, The important thing is not that he was running, but how he got the nomination. I’ll never trust a crook. And that’s crooked to use the two party system to ram your choice down the voters throat. But of course, if the voters are still dumbed down enough to let them get away with it, we’ll all get the government they deserve. If the voters keep voting for them, they’ll keep doing it. And there are those who say that you have a choice in the primary and you should vote for whomsoever gets the nod.

A third party is looking mighty good about now. But the sheeple would never join it, so we’re back to square one.

Well anyway, the election is over but the talk goes on. There is no serious news on the net that I found. Everybody is still giving their slant on the outcome. So go to your favorite columnist’s site and catch up on their archives. If I find anything worth reading I’ll let you know.

Now for my slant. Wait and see. The pols are unpredictable. Except that you can always not trust them. They’re not there to serve.

candidates

“If God had wanted us to vote, he would have given us candidates.” –comedian Jay Leno

Once again America lost the election. There
was no move to the Constitutional government our founding fathers envisioned. The party leaders chose the candidates, and “pragmatists” voted for them. I wrote in Peg Luksik for U.S. Senator from Pa. If Toomey was the best senator ever I would not vote for him ever. To paraphrase Thomas Sowell, whether Toomey is senator is not the important thing. The important thing is how he got to be the Republican candidate.

Once again, the Republican party was told that if they kept pushing them, the voters would elect them. This means they know business as usual will be OK. BHO is right about the electorate being dull. There are a lot of famous columnists who think that the Republicans will save the country. No matter how socialist they are. How do you think the uninformed or underinformed will vote? The Republicans just seem to hold the seats in Washington until the public is ready to elect their socialist brethren in the Democratic party again.

God does want us to vote. He gives us candidates in the primaries. If the parties don’t give them an equal shot and they do not get the nod, write them in on the general election or vote for a third party candidate. You may think you’re slowing the slide into socialism by voting Republican, but in reality, you’re just greasing the skids.
