sorry

Barack Obama will try to salvage his policy and his presidency with a speech to the nation. Rhetoric is his strong suit. The big question is: How many Americans have learned to distinguish between his soaring words and his sorry record? Matters of life and death can hinge on the answer to that question. Thomas Sowell

Flashback: Spitting on their graves

Your Democratic presidential candidates will unanimously endorse the very kind of amnesty policies that allowed several al Qaeda operatives to infiltrate this country and hatch terrorist plots.

And your Republican Party elites will continue to spurn immigration enforcement reformers within their own ranks for fear of alienating ethnic constituencies that will never vote for them anyway.

To those who lost their lives on Sept. 11 because their government failed to enforce its borders, laws, and sovereignty, the politicians and bureaucrats and civic leaders will ostentatiously offer one measly day a year of dedication in rhetoric — and 364 days of desecration in deed.

Who’s Who?

Socialists are left wing and conservatives are right wing? Weren’t the Nazis right wing and the Communists left? They were both socialists. And there are social conservatives, economic conservatives, compassionate conservatives, etc.

Horse puckey!! Even American Patriots aren’t a common denominator. American Patriot should denote a special breed, but the Constitution has been rewritten in courts and minds so many times that people aren’t just ignorant about what’s in it, they are sure there are things that just ain’t so.

What it really comes down to, is there are two vicious gangs fighting a turf war to see who gets to kill you and take all your belongings. These two gangs are the Socialists and the Capitalists. Both are elitist gangs with a hierarchy and peons at the bottom. There are many special interest groups inimical to the American way fighting for a place in which ever gang comes out on top.

With several generations of children being indoctrinated to hate truth, justice, and the American Way, things look pretty hopeless. But Ronald Reagan showed us what can happen when a real leader comes forward. I knew right away he wasn’t a messiah when he chose to run with H. W., but he showed us how to do it.

As long we’re stuck with the two party system, we should at least vote for a Reagan even if we have to write one in. If you don’t vote for them, they’ll quit running them. After McCain and Obomney, the Republican Party should have the message, but it isn’t clear yet. There are still beltway boys left in top Republican posts.

Anyway, the American Revolution wasn’t unanimous, but we still won. If those of us who believe in God and Country, entrepreneurs and independence, freedom and our Constitution, and truth, justice, and American Way would hang together, a leader might appear. Then maybe we wouldn’t all fall separately.

Agatha’s Predictions Come True

Agatha Christie explained it to all you dummies years ago. What part of Moslems are brain dead animals don’t you understand? Killing Saddam was the dumbest thing we could have done, followed by letting al Sadr have his way. The Egyptian military is the closest thing to democracy that those heathens know. Not that American patriots are fans of mob rule. But that’s what those Moslems will have without the military. Even with Sharia, it’s kill or be killed over there.

Only a totalitarian government can keep order in Moslem countries. Tyrants come and go in those places more often than in South America. There is no Golden Rule. Only the Iron Rule will keep the peace. Overthrowing a tyrant will only change the people who are persecuted. I can’t believe the number of so called conservatives who are yammering about democracy in Egypt and bitching about the military over there. It’s why the socialist are winning here. All the conservatives are as brain dead as the Moslems, but don’t have the gumption to fight back.

Pastors Must Take Back Civil Rights Movement

The Constitution’s First Amendment guarantees freedom of speech and freedom of religion.

??What kind of outrage is it that blacks should be willing to accept, in a ceremony commemorating a signature event in civil rights history, that we witness both abrogation of freedom of speech and freedom of religion???

We live in a free country. Those who don’t wish to read the Christian Bible are not forced to. Those who don’t wish to live as Christians are not forced to.??

But it is quite another thing when traditional Christian values are used as the reason to blacklist a pastor, particularly from an event commemorating black civil rights.

??Let’s be aware of the concerted effort on the left to purge from memory that Dr. King was a Christian pastor, inspired by the truth of the gospel, who led an organization called the Southern Christian Leadership Conference.

??No reference is made at all to King’s Christianity at the new memorial to him on the national mall.??

I would argue that it is these very efforts to purge Christian values and replace them with political power that has limited the success and achievement of the civil rights movement.

??It is the collapse of black family life, the escalation of crime and disease — much tied to irresponsible sexual behavior — that has occurred over the 50 years since the March on Washington that has been so deleterious to black progress.??

The civil rights movement was a Christian movement. It is high time that the black pastor, rather than the black politician, return to leadership in black American life. It is time for the Bible, rather than political answers, to define black life.

Vouchers: My Personal Case

I told my mom what happened. She didn’t use the word “voucher,” but she wondered why parents couldn’t choose the school to which they send their kids, rather than the one — good or bad — that happens to be the closest.

“Doesn’t seem right,” said Mom. My Fairfax experience, she said, “shows what happens when kids are pushed. I can’t do anything about this. But maybe someday you can.”

Hopefully, I just did.Larry Elder

Conservatives should fight liberal word games

In her book “Statecraft,” the late, great British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher wrote: “Socialists have always spent much of their time seeking new titles for their beliefs, because the old versions so quickly become outdated and discredited.”

The Iron Lady was absolutely right, yet again.

So, when progressives oppose climate change and seek more investment in SNAP, Reaganites should reject such jargon. Instead, remind Americans that these are just liberals screaming about global warming and demanding more government spending on food stamps.Deroy Murdock

Alexander Rebuts Obama’s Zimmerman/Martin Statement

By Mark Alexander
Barack Hussein Obama walked into a White House press briefing Friday afternoon, unannounced. He used the briefing to deliver his political assessment of the Zimmerman/Martin case.

I have published two comprehensive critiques of this case, “Race Hustlers and Double Standards” last week, and “What Democrats Won’t Say About Race” this week. Those columns challenge the Left’s promotion and intentional distortion of the case as race bait, to maintain the unyielding sycophantic support of 95 percent of black voters. Without that low-information voter constituency, Democrats would win few congressional elections, and Obama would not be president.

Below, I rebut the key points of Obama’s latest effort to politicize the Zimmerman/Martin case.
